February’s Snow Moon rises in the deep stillness of late winter and invites a time of endurance, inner nourishment and quiet becoming.

Named for the heavy snowfall common in this season, the Snow Moon reflects a period when the outer world slows and life retreats beneath the surface. It is also known as the Storm Moon, the Hunger Moon and the Bear Moon. These names speak to winter’s challenges, scarcity and the silent resilience required to move through them. In some traditions, this moon marks the time when bear cubs are born and life stirs quietly in the dark, unseen yet undeniable.

The Snow Moon reminds us that even in times of contraction, something within us is growing. Strength does not always announce itself loudly and sometimes it rests, conserves and prepares.

This Full Moon invites us to soften inward, tend to our emotional reserves and offer compassion to ourselves where the journey has felt demanding. It is a moon for grounding, replenishing and reconnecting with the steady inner warmth that carries us through winter’s final stretch.

On February’s Full Moon, join me for a Snow Moon Meditation, where we will:

✨ Ground deeply into the body and the Earth, cultivating safety and steadiness
✨ Clear emotional heaviness and accumulated winter fatigue
✨ Nourish the nervous system, restoring inner warmth and balance
✨ Connect with the quiet strength that grows in stillness
✨ Honour cycles of rest, resilience and unseen growth

This is a moon of perseverance and gentle renewal and a reminder that life continues even when the path feels narrow or resources feel thin. As winter holds us a little longer, the Snow Moon offers reassurance that you are supported, you are enduring and you are closer to renewal than you may realise.

Let us gather as Heartbeat beneath the Snow Moon’s calm, steady light, resting where needed, strengthening from within and allowing what is forming in the dark to be gently born.
